Having our (Canada) own ‘Royalty" would cost us less then the present system. We would do without one federal post and 10 or 12 other Provincial/Territorial ones! Not require such a lavish salary. Do my own yard work and house cleaning and cooking. Would not need as much security. I would take away from the Roman Catholic (Vatican) residence we the taxpayers pay for. Would not need to travel by plane or motor vehicle as much. and that would be just the tip of the iceburg.
Of course they hired/promoted someone who already is most likely bringing in over close to or over one million dollars annually.
Now, he will get a pension, severance pay, kickbacks/bribes from law firms on top of his more then generous salary, travel budget, and a free residence to boot!
Hypocritical, ignorant society we live in.
He does not care or is willing to die for the poor, short changed, people from other countries, the "Yet To Be", ecosystems or other species. He is just a puppet product of the top controlling crust of society.
He can manipulate words from our evolved education database (deemed right and unquestioned) to help them (the wealthy and in power) remain where they are!
Should send the PM a serious note explaining why we the people of the country should vote on 1) whether to keep the old Royalty as is, 2) Eliminate it altogether, 3) Keep Royalty and have our own! Sending in along with it reasons why I would fit the bill as the/our new first King.
Would most likely have CISIS, police, or the RCMP at my door, my web page and blogs erased, and have me arrested!
Then again it would probably be a waste of time and resources to write to Mr. Harrap anyway!
