Dear educators and politicians of the planet, this is for you.
Written and taught histories are but from the view from those who have succeeded (mostly financially) or conquered by means of war.
I could see why many have no interest in the topic as it is taught. It is mostly a glorification of the route that made us who we are today. It is a great thing to understand, there is no argument there, but it is also a double edged sword.
With it comes the present. Many of the youth and older generation from all walks of life on this planet do not like what we are doing to the health of all life on this planet. So why would or should anyone be proud of our past?
I at 58 am not proud of our history (Canadian) even if it is somewhat still in its infancy compared to many other Religions, Cultures, Nations or Countries elsewhere.
Every group seems to promote what it has to offer from the best of their past while ignoring the idea, direction, or mind-frame of what we can do in/for the Future!
Our, or I should I say all educational systems on the planet should incorporate in our/their “Selfie History courses” an equal time for “Future Living” or possibilities. Of course I write this as I see epqanna as one of those paths. At least many of it’s ideas, plans, and Visions of a unified fair just and healthy planet for all life are valid and doable.
Our history lessons are unconsciously set up in a way to not only support but continue our lifestyle, even if they be destructive to life itself.
History should be re-named History/Future and taught, discussed and developed with each having equal time in the classroom, on television, in community centers, and/or church.
The Future is far more important then the past.
Time for change in order to slow or stop our own self extinction.
