As many leaders and spoiled wealthy people congregate in South Africa for Nelson Mandela’s funeral it is my wish that they would be held there and forced to live, a month or two, just as the poorest have lived there all of their lives.
Cart them away to small towns, with no telephones, body guards, credit cards, or cash, where the essential needs for survival are scarce. Let them experience first hand how harsh and hard living is for many of the worlds people.
Fill the airplane seats with people who have never flown before, or owned a house or a vehicle, or even held a full-time, half decent, paying job. Bring them over to those countries of the detained and let them live the life these people have. Give them a taste of what those who have experience luxury most of their lives.
Apartheid is small compared to the injustices these visiting powerful dignitaries and wealthy people hold over the worlds short-changed and cheated people. Yes, even include those so-called paid reporters. In my readings I see plenty of arrogance and ignorance in their writings.
No, Canada would not miss you at all. There are many, maybe even millions of people who can do the job you and others are doing while being over compensated/paid.
I ask all Countries around the Globe to let them “kidnap” or “borrow” those few people who were able to make it there on others health and dime, regardless of how it was obtained.
South Africa, Mr. Mandela dream would allow you to do this.
