My Church

– Radio and television announcement in Haiti-  Wanna be thing!

The streets of Port-au-Prince are full of litter. One of the biggest finds are empty water bottles and pouches. They are sold every where.

The winds, wters and gravity end up bringing them down to the oceans. Once there they either float to join other pools now littering the oceans or sink. Other negative happenings is that many of the marine life think that is food. Both the land animals here and in the ocean are or could be affected.

Once consumed by fish, sea birds, turtles and other creature, this product (the pouches) are not digestedand fill their stomachs. The birs become too heavy to escape their predtors or all too often they end up starving to death. Same for sea turtles.

This morning I filled an empty 20 fluid onze watre bottle with 75 empty pouches. In my French version I had offered the people 14.5% of my wealth.

For the first 5,000 bottles filled with empty pouches (75) I would give them 40 Gourdes (or $1 Canadian/U.S.) ech. After that all I can do is give them a big thanks from the bottom of my heart.

I sent the National Television station my blog link.

Here some people will go to a church 4 time a week. They scream, pray and re-enforce each others already strong conviction. If they spent just one of those 5 or 6 hour pray session cleaning their streets, it would make our church a way more beautiful place.

i wrote that they should be ashamed of themselves.

Other the the litter, they burn, old shoes, plastics, cardboard and paper. There is very little garbage pick up in the city. No wonder so many are sick.
